CT Clamps and Metering Sensors

CT clamps and metering sensors must be installed per manufacturer instructions following NEC codes. Key requirements include proper orientation toward load/panel, full closure and latching, routing through low-voltage pathways only, and validation of readings in the app.

• NEC 300 – Separation of Class 2 / power conductors

CT Locations

• Mains CTs (required)
• PV CTs (if applicable)
• Generator CTs (if applicable)

Installation Rules

1. Observe orientation arrows toward the load/panel
2. Fully close and latch CTs
3. Route CT leads through low-voltage pathways only
4. Never extend CT wiring unless approved

Validation

1. Confirm readings are correct in the app
2. Check for reversed polarity or zero values
