How Kora Manages Overcurrent Protection

(Per-Circuit Relays + Software and Hardware Safety) Built-In Protection for Every Circuit Kora doesn’t rely on a single point of protection. Every circuit is protected using layered safety systems—hardware first, software second.

How Protection Works

Kora uses three independent layers to keep your home safe:

  1. Circuit Breakers
  2. Traditional breakers provide primary overcurrent protection, just like a standard panel.
  3. Per-Circuit Relays
  4. Each circuit is controlled by an internal relay that can open instantly if unsafe conditions are detected.
  5. Software Monitoring
  6. Kora continuously monitors current, voltage, and temperature in real time.

If any layer detects a problem, power is safely interrupted.

What This Means for You

Kora always fails safe, not on.
